I bought my first investment property at 22. This was after being disciplined saver for 7 years and thought property was the obvious next step. I’d only heard the success stories so I jumped in without strategy or guidance. It was a huge milestone to hit at that age… but it became a costly lesson. This became a massive missed opportunity because I was naive and lacked a clear plan - a mistake many first-time investors make. Over the following years, I built a successful career in medical recruitment. Growing up with very little, raised by a single mum on Centrelink, financial security was never something I took for granted. Working in a commission-based role pushed me to think long term. I didn’t just want income - I wanted assets and stability. Instead of walking away from property, I found the right support. Working with a buyer’s agent changed everything. With strategy and data behind every decision, I acquired four more properties in 2.5 years and built a five-property portfolio by 30, now worth over $3M. That transformation is why I do what I do.
