Mathew Pound is co-founder and Business Development Director of beagl, a Perth-born platform that connects buyers with genuinely independent, licensed buyer’s agents across Western Australia, always working “on your behalf”. He spends his days building partnerships, driving growth and making sure every client feels properly looked after from the very first conversation through to settlement and beyond. Together with his father Barry, who brings more than 30 years of real estate experience, Mathew has built a family-run business that turns the traditional agent model on its head. The mission is simple: give buyers unbiased advice, exclusive off-market access and fierce negotiation so they buy smarter, save money and actually enjoy the ride. Before real estate took over his life, Mathew founded and ran Varsity, one of Perth’s most loved eateries. That’s where he mastered early social media storytelling, forged rock-solid supplier relationships and learned how to turn first-time guests into lifelong fans. He now brings the same warmth, energy and customer-first obsession to every property journey at beagl.
